Radioactive Jam

all the cool kids are radioactive minions

Seduced by the Dark Side

Despite the recent slackage drop in item posts, the radioactive scavenger hunt isn’t over yet my feiends, oh no. In fact just because blog feiend Sith Snoopy badgered me to no end asked, I ordered one of these today. On eBay. Because I couldn’t find one around here. And I paid ABOUT A HUNDRED DOLLARS three and a half bucks for it.

Sith Snoopy and I have something in common: ones and zeroes. That’s right, she’s a mush-head software wonk technology professional, as am I. Fortunately she doesn’t blog (much) about those one and zeroes; instead she writes about far more interesting Stuff.

Her weblog subtitle says “The adventures of a (former) Sith Lord Beagle.” I’ve never felt a need to work through the layers of meaning embedded in that statement, but I sure enjoy reading her posts. And rants. And crazy giant dog stories. And original fan fiction. But I suspect her near-future blogging will feature stories of The Imminent And Now Overdue One i.e. baby, due last week and not yet delivered as of yesterday.

My radioactive minions - please take a few moments to visit and encourage her. Tell her I said “badger” and “hi.” Sith Snoopy - thanks for the item suggestion. When Darth Pezzer arrives I’ll have one very much delighted nine-year-old grandson. :-)

Do any of you collect movie-related goodies?

My kids collect action figures from several different movies, then have diverse battles featuring orcs, elves, Klingons, droids, Native Americans, and others. I should document one in photos someday.

I must go cheer on SS. My first child was ten days overdue. Those last ten days seemed longer than the first nine months; I became convinced that the bump was actually a tumor that would never leave me.

I sort of collect Muppet stuff, in a casual please-don’t-let-it-overrun-my-home sort of way. And I have a Mr. Incredible action figure that I found in a parking lot.

  3. Avery Says:

Nope. No movie related stuff. But I know people who do. Does that count?

  4. Sirdar Says:

Good job!! Only a few days left and then you can relax a bit.

    How is your mom doing?

  5. erik Says:

    No, I eat my movie-related goodies. And then I wish I hadn’t.

i bought a kit for my paintball marker that made it look like a battle rifle from the HALO video game series…does that count?

and no, i cant shoot a perfect head shot two miles away like i could in the games…:[

I had to vote for my default, “Belgium, France,” in your latest poll, since otherwise it was a three-way tie for me (though I do not consider ‘feiend’ to be a misspelling).

  8. Lia Says:

Well, I picked a top pet peeve, but it was a three-way tie for me, too. However, like Luisa, I don’t consider “feiend” a misspelling.

This poll was too hard for me. :(

Oh-my-gosh! You found one! The Vader pez-dispenser!!!! LOL! :)

    You rock!!!! :)

Sorry I took so long to comment on this post. :) Came by to play “catchup” on posts I’d missed. I’m a bit behind. Have been, ‘er, a little distracted by the squirming tumor that likes to run laps around my belly on occasion. ;)

I’ve officially hit 10 days late, LOL. If he hasn’t left yet, he’s getting kicked out at 14 days late, on December 5th at 6pm.

I told him about the “eviction notice”, and so far, there have been a few signs he’s listening. Yesterday evening I wasn’t feeling so hot, or rather, was feeling really cold, in spite of the heater being on, the fire going, and blankets. And was really tired. And had a hard-basketball for a tummy, LOL. So that might have been my body prepping for “launch”, LOL. :)

But otherwise, he’s still seemed content to hang out. But then, I keep cheating on my Gestational Diabetes diet with Reeses Peanut Butter Cups (the miniatures), and maybe he thinks that the food being pumped in will always be way better than the food being breast-fed in. ;)

[I suspect he will be born with an addiction to chocolate and peanut butter. But there are worse addictions to be born with…]

Thanks for your comments on my blog, and your reader’s comments as well. :) Slowly getting to the point where I’ll have a baby to carry around in a baby-sling, vs. in my belly. Having my own body back is going to rock, LOL! Although I do rather enjoy playing “got your foot” when I push back on his tiny feet pushing on my belly. ;)
