Found this movies-seen meme at Sephy’s Platzish, a fine bookmark addition courtesy of NaBloPoMo. According to the meme - if you’ve seen more than 85 of the 252 listed movies, the phrase “get a life” supposedly applies to you. I’m not saying I agree but (1) I’ve seen 97 and (2) the jury in my head is undecided on whether or not I actually have a life per se.What about you, the jury of my blogulous peers? I can’t wait to do this meme… I’m not a movie-goer. One particular co-worker keeps asking what planet I am from since every time he asks me if I have seen a movie… I haven’t.

I saw 54, which is way higher than I would have guessed. The 6 Star Wars movies and the “Bored of the Rings” trilogy boosted my count up a bit. My conservative guess of Cate’s total is 187.

48. As in Omar’s case, my count is way higher than I would have guessed. I still have to tell people that I’ve never heard of what they’re talking about. Some of those on the list I haven’t heard of.

Mmm…How about I tell the number I haven’t seen so I don’t get accused of anything silly like not having a life?
A couple sidenotes for you. Some of the movies left unchecked on your list are better left that way. I must suggest Kung Fu Hustle and Event Horizon for your viewing pleasure. I think Lucky Number Seven is supposed to be “Slevin”. Another very good one. Also, you may be the only person who chose to watch Kill Bill vol. 2…but not 1?!

So there are 252 movies on this list, and supposedly if you have seen more than 85, you have no life yet most of those who have taken the quiz think that number is way too low. Personally, the people with the most life that I’ve met seem to see all the movies ever made. JRaD - ha! High score so far for you. And I know the Kill Bill thing seems a little strange but I just do what the voices tell me and no one gets hurt.

97 just like you! But some of those I have seen I really wish I hadn’t (Jeepers Creepers made me wish I had never been born) so maybe those don’t count. On the other hand, though, some of the other movies I have watched countless times (Little Mermaid, Hook, all the Indiana Jones) so I guess maybe it balances out.

Actually, looking over the movies I left off, I realised that 75% is wrong. Probably more like 85-95%. Basically, any movie that I came into 5, 10, or 15 minutes from the start, stayed off the list of movies I saw.
